While I am sequence mode, periodically when I put a Scene Online, it will display the words "Preparing" in the State column. It will display "Preparing" for about 5-8 seconds but then never puts my scene online. I must then put my desired scene online again, on the second attempt it works normally. In my mind, Xpression is slowing causing it to prepare the scene. what is causing Xpression to display "Preparing" status?

That depends on what is in the scene. Does the scene use HD video clips or datalinq? Both of those are loaded during the "preparing" stage. I'd double check the power options in windows and make sure the hard drive isn't set to go to sleep after x number of minutes..

Are you running an up to date software version (5.7)?

Thank you, i checked the power options, all options are set to profile that Ross created. I did change the setting "allow Hybrid Sleep" from on to off. hopefully this will fix it.

The scene does use HD video clips, but is not using Datalinq.
