So I have a theory/thought that I would like to try out while using the Crawl feature on XPression. I'm trying to get one text object to push a second text object away as a sort of "re-size" type of thing. I'm working with getting School Closings (happens a lot in my area) to work where Object A (School Name) pushes Object B (Closed/Delayed) away from it depending on the size of the school's name.

Is there such a way to do this? I figured I would have to have two child Quads attached to each text object in order to perform this. I know it's possible to get quads to move out of each other's way, I just don't remember how to do it and I can't find the YouTube tutorial on it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

follow this link. Brian Ford wrote a very simple script that puts your second text info onto a hidden layer then that layer pushes (or anything you design the animation to do) the current text field off. You could also control scene objects. I have adapted it to many uses. There is a download of the project at the very end. It is what I started with.
