Hi there!

Just a simple question really, and I would actually think this is a bug.

Just a quick summary first:
- Xpression Designer (for creating things)
- Version: 6.5 build 3672

Whenever I open Xpression, it loads my last project (ok sweet), and set to sequencer (cool, I set it to that).
However, what is not so much fun is that no matter what, from the top in the sequencer it creates a new empty group.
Makes no sense as to why, and there are no scenes in this group, it just adds an empty group.

Now this isnt much of a problem, but more an annoyance, as after a week or so (without deleting) I end up having 7-15 extra empty groups just taking up space in my sequencer.
I'm hoping this is simply a bug with my version (got this version to support UTF8 characters), and was hoping there was a later update of Xpression 6 I could get?

Your issue is likely the same as this one resolved in version 6.7.

6.7 was only available in beta and was officially released as 7.0. So upgrading to 7.0 should resolve your issue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but an "update" from 6.5 to 7 isnt exactly free, or "cheap"?
Concidering the Xpression I'm currently using is only Xpression Designer (CG) that came with our ROSS Carbonite Black Solo, putting money into that update isnt exactly in the budget right now.

I'm trying to get Xpression 7 GO or Prime into our budget in the future, however this wont solve this issue for at least half a year or more...

You get one free year of upgrades, so depending on when your system was purchased you may still be eligible for 7.0.

Alternatively if you disable the option to Start in sequencer or to "not create untitled project" in startup, it may avoid the issue in your current build.

Ok, great! That one was new to me... So that would mean we are eligible for an upgrade until November-ish.
Could you point me in the directin of whomever I should contact for this?
Do I contact ROSS or do I contact reseller?

And while yes, disabling the "not create untitled project on startup" option, having it on autostart and let anyone just power on the machine and it "works" is WAY more valuable for me atm...
