  • 1.  Xpression-Studio no Audio Output with Avid clips

    Hello,
    I have many Full HD 25fps video clips exported from Avid in Xpression-Video-Codec with audio (48KHz, 16-bit, 2 ch, uncompressed).
    Playback in Xpression is without sound.
    Playback in Windows-Mediaplayer is with sound.
    After re-encoding the File with After-Effects playback in Xpression is with sound.
    After re-encoding with Xpression Video Coder playback in Xpression is still without sound.

    Any suggestions how we can export the files from Avid so we hear sound from Xpression without recoding?

    I examined the file you provided using Media Info (free tool), and I can see the Interleaving value is not correct for what XPression requires. You should look for a setting when you export that allows you to set the audio interleave value to every 1 frame. I'm not sure that is the only problem you have but it is definitely something you will need to fix.
    When using the XPression Video coder, it should automatically set the output interleaving to 1, but exporting from other tools it is usually a setting that needs to be set.
