I have a ID lower third with a twitter handle and logo under the name. I want the logo to follow the text for the template. I can get it to stay in one place and send the text out to the right. But my boss wants it to follow the Center alignment so that the logo will always be the same distance from the '@' no matter how long the handle is.

Anyone have any ideas?

Visual logic should be able to do what you want (though I must admit I don't fully understand your description).

Set text to centre and then use VL. Take boundingbox of text, use an offset block for position and then connect it to the X Pos of the twitter logo. I've attached a pic of something similar.
