Graphics

During production, Xpression performance spiked to 166% (and various other high levels) when trying to run any graphic. System did not perform correctly. Shutdown multiple times and checked processes - nothing I could see. Any suggestions? What is happening? (worked fine the night before)

If you can still get it to happen, I would contact Tech Support so they may investigate.

Did you ever find out what was causing the high performance numbers/shutting down? This recently happened to an Xpression I was working on.

What software version are you running? Ross has made some improvements to the video codec and other items under the hood that should increase performance. That being said, it could also be in your project(s). I was using the drop shadow effect on a very large quad which also took a performance hit.

The company that provided the Xpression was running version 5.7 -- pretty old for today. I also had a very large project with a lot of videos, effects, etc. I assume that definitely didn't help the outdated version keep up very well. Thanks for the reply!

Weird that the memory bars were so low. I'm running a large file and while running a scene with 4 videos and DL and VL, I get maxxed out on Memory and Performance.

The more I talk to the owner of the Xpression, I'm thinking this was a combination of issues. 1. The old version of software. 2. The mega raid drive is now giving errors. If I get anymore details I will post here.
