  • 1.  Will upgrading XPression break Datalinq?

    My guess is no, but I have a client tepid on updating from version 7 as they are concerned it will break their datalinq...

     

    Can I get some reassurances from the experts?

    No. - But there is one step that you need to make sure of when upgrading.  That is that Datalinq is completely closed or else it will not upgrade with your Xpression upgrade.  So check the bottom of the screen to make sure it is not still running before you do the update. - Went through a string of about 5 updates across a month period and all bugs that arose Ross fixed within 2 days of reporting (bug was with RSS feeds that has not come back since being patched).

    Hello Willie,

     

    Upgrading XPression will not affect Datalinq. As Garrett mentioned, you must shut down all XPression software before upgrading.

    Also make sure you save your datalinq config/connections before you upgrade!
