  • 1.  Creating a glow effect on text

    Hello,

A client delivered a design that he wants to have implemented in XPression. The problem is that the design relies heavily on Outer Glows on the different texts.

Does anybody know how I can reproduce this in XPression?

    Thanks,

    Kenneth

Use the text shadow to do that... Mode "soft" and change the color of shadow to obtain a glow effect...

I tried that but it doesn't get me the required effect, the glow in XPression is too soft, it needs to be more visible.

So make a second text object, with visual logic on it to duplicate its text. For the font, disable the "face" and check only shadow.

By this way, the glow will be more visible.

To get near the effect I need I have to duplicate the text 5 times...

Isn't there a way to amplify the effect? Maybe using blending modes? I'm experimenting but without much succes for now.

Ok, after experimenting quite a bit I was able to get more or less the effect I as aiming for by playing around with the blending modes.
