  • 1.  Strange behaviour when using spotlights

    Hello all,

I'm experiencing some strange behaviour in a project I'm building.
I have a scene which has a lot of different slabs which I'm animating each independently.

On every slab I also had to put 3 spotlights which I carefully added on each slab individually to make sure that the light is not casting on another slab.
Now when I play my animation, after slab 15 animates in, I get a much brighter light which is cast on all of the slabs and which eventually fades out, but the flash is not something I can use.

Is there a limitation on the number of spotlights you can use?

Below you can find a package that includes the scene I'm referring to.
    I'm using build 3468.

    Thanks,
    Kenneth

I believe there is a limit of 6 lights per object. You can try using the lighting tab to make sure that each object has no more than 6 lights bound to it.

    Hello Brian,

I only have 4 light-objects for every object. 1 directional light (which is the general one) and 3 spotlights.
However, there are 60 objects like this.

But the strange thing is that *it seems* that lights which are bound to only one specific object are somehow also casting light on other objects.
