INCoder gives failure on .mov and .mxf files. I thought it was supposed to be able to convert those?

    Hi Brian,

I'm not so familiar with Incoder so I don't know the specifics of that tool.

But I think we can compare it with the XPression Video Coder where you also manually have the install the codecs that can be used by Video Coder because the software itself does not install any codecs.

Sp you have to install yourself the Quicktime and DNxHD-codecs in order to use them in Video Coder, so I would not be surprised if it's the same for Incoder.

But I could be wrong ofcourse...

    Hi Brian,

As Kenneth mentioned, you need to installs codec that handle the MXF wrapper; you can check out calibratedQ codec if you would like!

    Hi all,

I've encountered this problem with PSAs that are .mov's, but have captions "embedded," so this may or may not be related to your issue and/or the other comments.  This probably doesn't help unless the your .mov's are these same type of PSAs, but I bring the video onto a timeline in Premiere with only the main video layer and export it.
