Hi, we are looking at getting XPression Studio and are trying to determine whether to go with hardware + software or just software only. We already have a system that could easily run the software.
I may be misunderstanding, but some of the literature seems a bit confusing to me. Obviously single channel turn-key hardware + software is 1 output (key & fill), and dual channel turn-key hardware + software is 2 outputs (key & fill). Here are my related questions:
1. Does XPression Studio (software only) multi channel license (I believe it is part XST-0-0001) support just 2 channels (key & fill), or if your hardware supports it, can you theoretically go to 3+ channels (key & fill)?
2. If we choose to go XPression Studio software only, I am assuming we can move our dongle to other hardware and run it on that. For example... lets say we have hardware for football production at our football stadium and then have separate hardware for basketball production at the basketball stadium. I am assuming we can just move the dongle between the two.
3. Piggybacking off question #2. If we get XPression Studio hardware + software, can we still move the dongle to other hardware as in #2 if, for instance, the hardware fails?
4. Is the license in a dual channel turn-key (hardware + software) package actually a multichannel software license? What I am asking is can you take the dongle out of a dual channel turn-key (hardware + software) system and plug it into a custom built 3 channel (key & fill) output system and it work?
