Good morning, all!

Got my audio in my Scene Director and it's playing just fine. But, when I take it into the Sequencer and layer it into my project. When I take the layer, it only plays my video and not the video and the audio file. Any presets or settings I'm missing somewhere?

Not entirely certain. Could you show me a screenshot of what I should be looking for? I had to set up my speakers in the hardware preferences as I was following the Ross U tutorial. But, that's where the video ended. Didn't show the audio actually playing back in the Sequencer, just that you can scrub over it in the Scene* Director.

Found the setting to change under "Inputs and Outputs" in the Hardware Preference setting. Output was set to default. Changed to my audio device I set up earlier in my attempts to fix the audio problem.

A positive update:

As we were demoing the package in the control room, the audio played back fine over the speakers. So, however it must be set up, it must be for the control room. Or there is more to it than I'm guessing!

Glad to hear it is working in the control room. I think your post must have started because you are trying to hear it in XPression Designer?
As you said in your edit, you need to set the default audio device of your virtual output to be the same as your audio preview device.
(Don't change your control room XPression off of default!)

Noted. I'll be sure it doesn't get changed in the control room itself. But it is very nice to now be able to hear it while I'm experimenting in my office!
