    Hello all,

In normal practice, when you add a scene to the sequencer, all information that was already in the textfields in Layout Mode is retained inside the sequencer when you recall the scene. However you can update them through the sequencers' Template Data if you need to.

Right now I'm in the situation where I have built a small piece of software to generate the standings for the different groups of the Champions League (8 groups in total).

The assistant-director, who is operating the XPression during the show, has asked me to generate and fill in the templates in XPression, after which she can drag the template in the sequencer. This way, she can generate all 8 groups before and drag them in the sequencer group to show them one after the other. This works fine for all the text-information, which is updated on every takeItem, however, this doesn't work for the Club Logos.

Since I'm only using 1 template which has 4 materials assigned to the 4 quads of the teamlogos, the material face or image source is not retained when you drag the scene into the sequencer.

So when you drag the scene into the sequencer, all the text inside the textfields stays in, however the source images of the material do not.

However you can change the Material Face inside the sequencer for each takeitem individually from inside the sequencer and you can use the same material but with different image files in it for every takeitem separately.

Is there a reason why the material face is not exported into the sequencer when you add a scene to the sequencer?

    Hi Kenneth,

I'm not sure why it works that way but I will investigate..

As a workaround in the short term, your application could create the take items themselves and assign the text and images to the published objects directly? You could write them to a specific group in the sequencer which the AD could then move them or copy/paste to somewhere in her rundown?

    Hi Brian,

In the mean time I've been able to test it and it works using the TakeItems's PublishedObjects.

I knew you could add scenes to the Sequencer using the API but I didn't know you could update them as well. But after I came to think about it, it's what you do with the MOS-gateway or CII-gateway as well so it's only logical.

    So thanks for your help!

    Cheers,

    Kenneth
