I'm using an AODDB datalinq to populate text boxes from a performance schedule for a show we have coming up. What I would like to do is have the text boxes populated by the performance row based on take id. So Take ID would pull Perf Number 1 row data. I have done %relid% and Datalink Keys before with rss/xml feeds but never have done it with an excel sheet. Has anyone tried doing it this way before? I have tried several things but it has not been working.

Hey jbins, in your excel sheet have you created tables in your excel sheet and selected from that rather than the entire sheet? Datalinq keys should work perfectly well as you described.

Also are you using %takeid% or %relid%?

I have setup a table. Ideally I would like to use relid to pull data from Perf Number. So 0001 would pull data from columns associated to Performance Number 1.

Do you want to pull from Row or Column because you need to make sure you put the variable in the correct place for the one you want to retrieve. If you want Column you need to put in the column space instead of row and of course, if you want to use relid you'll need your columns to be numbered. If you're pulling row is should work if everything is set up correctly. Don't forget when using Relid that the it's Take ID minus Group ID so if the group ID Is 1000 then take ID 1001 would put "1" in your datalinq key.
