    Just got our new CG systems. Training is set for a week after when I need to have graphics setup. Been reading through the manual and have some basic questions regarding 3D files.

    When building a 3DS for the xpression is their a rule of thumb for what the system can handle? Poly count, file size, texture files and such. Is there anything you have found that does not work in a 3DS file on the Xpression?

    I use 3d Max to model anything i import into XPression. I haven't had any issues yet when importing. Only remember that if you are using Baked textures, always use a Material ID of 1 in 3DSMAX otherwise your texture will not show in XPression. As for Poly count and texture size... XPression has performance bars at the top of the UI that gives great real-time info that.
