Can anyone explain how to create a RenderView of a scene, and any potential applications for doing this?

There's nothing in the Help that I can find about it.

    Thanks!

    Hi David

Render view is a pretty cool way to apply i.e. a roll or crawl as a material to a surface. As an example I have wrapped a credit roll around a cylinder.

Or you may have a scene with a continuous animation on, which you want to use as surface on a 3D object.

So here's how to create roll as a renderview material:

    - build your roll scenegroup

    - create a new material

    - add a new shader

    - select render view

    - in the dropdown list select the scenegroup

    - apply your new renderview material to your object.

    - put the scene on-air

    - done

    hope it works for you.

    Best

    Hi Hung,

Sorry for the late reply. I have experienced the same issue and I have raised as a support case. Will keep you posted.

Also trying to work with this. Not able to get it to run at all. Not using a scene group, just trying to use a scene as a Material. Does it not work with video clips?
