    Hi,

Our studio directors are currently able to recall graphics from our Vision switcher using the memory numpads on the board. (We're making the switch from Inscriber to Xpression)

I'm wondering if it possible with Rosstalk commands to load an item from the sequence directly using these numpads. I assume we could always export graphics from the Sequencer as image files and then import them to the switcher memory, but that seems possibly unnecessary.

Is this possible or am I confused/thinking about something that I shouldn't be?

Any help or thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.

I've done this via a dashboard but not from a switcher. I know you can send a scene number to Xpression and take it on line. This might be better in a vision switcher discussion. I'm not familiar with Rosstalk and switchers.

Thanks for the response. This is well beyond what I understand. But after opening a ticket with Support, I found out our engineers had already found a way to do this. Just in case anyone is trying to do this in the future this is the response I got, and one of the engineers here confirmed that this was the method:

"You can set this up with the CII Gateway and this would allow you to use it as you intended. I just ran it past one of my colleagues and they had told me about that. It is not using RossTalk, but you set this up as CG. You also need CII GW running on your XPression system."

Our TD has several macros that trigger elements from our Xpression via RossTalk. But if CII works for you, then go for it.

As I understand it, it is possible to make macros with Rosstalk to move through a sequence an item at a time, and maybe recall a specific item, but it doesn't have a way to use input from the memory numpads to recall an item in the sequence based on that number. If you know how to do that, then let us know here. Thanks!

Ah, my eyes are open now. I missed the number input from the switcher, I thought it was a specific scene. Nice workaround on this one Nathan.
