Has anyone interfaced with Genius yet? Is it just an XML file? Is it as messy as Stat Crew? Just looking for any insight that I can get to prepare for the move this upcoming season. 

Genius has a utility that makes their data format just like the statcrew xml. But it's a temporary fix. Note: single digit jerseys will appear that way while statcrew has a leading zero.

Yea not a fan of "Temp" fixes. Had the temp fix from Dak last year and that bombed significantly. 

I also posted asking when this becomes native in datalinq. Waiting for a response.

There is an NGSS dedicated datalinq setup. We are in the testing phase.

Will this be available still in 8.5? I unfortunately will not be upgrading to 9. 

Jeff, I didn't see it until 8.7 I think. And it may have been a sub-build of 8.7. We have just started working with it for the upcoing NBA season. That's probably a question best for Ross Video to answer. Let me dig into my build and see exactly what it is.

I'm elbows deep in coding for the NGSS. Once you get a handle on what datalinq keys are looking for, it's pretty easy. It's just different enough that you have to think it out, but also similar enough to Statcrew that you aren't a stranger.

Just found out our University is switching to NGSS for this Basketball Season.  Any update on the NGSS Datalinq Setup mentioned in this thread?

David we have been pulling data via NGSS for the new NBA season without any issues. We set up the actual NGSS datalinq on a machine that doesn't do much heavy lifting. Then I linked to that datalinq with my CG and from there it's basically an XML data feed.
