  • 1.  Texture in Slab OR invert mask of slab

    Hello all,

I'm having an issue with the slab-primitive.
I'm trying to create a graphic using a skewed slab with rounded edges but I want to keep the texture which has been applied to the slab straigt. However, the texture is a repeating background so I have used the WRAP-mode to repeat the background.

The problem I'm having is that the texture isn't straight at all, it gets deformed. When I select Skew Texture the texture is shown correctly but skewed which I don't want.

So I don't think I'm able to do it with the slab itself.
My next idea was to create a quad that has the texture wrapped on it and use a slab as an inverted mask so I get the shape of the slab, but it's actually masking the quad.

However, I can't find the correct blending mode to have the mask inverted.

Does anybody have any suggestions how to solve this?

    Best regards,
    Kenneth

Personally, I would make an image the shape you want your object to be and use an image mask. Then you can either invert yourself or use this setting to invert.
