Could I suggest to the moderators of this discussion forum to add a Sticky post to this forum where users could add suggestions or feature requests for XPression?
For instance, I would really like to suggest two improvements to Visual Logic in XPression:
"¢ Auto-Increment when copying Visual Logic
When copying logic blocks in Visual Logic, it would be great if you could opt to increment the values. Quite often when I'm building lists or something where there are multiple lines in the scene (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, etc...) and I want to use Visual Logic to position or hide certain items, it would be a real time saver if I don't have to re-assign all of the different lines all the time. So when I would create the logic for the first line and I want to copy the same logic for the second line, I could just copy the logic and paste it and it could offer me the choice to increment the objects. The same functionality which is already available when you copy and paste animControllers.
"¢ Adding a description block in Visual Logic
When I have big chunks of Visual Logic, it would be useful to be able to add a line of comment inside the Visual Logic pane so that I can describe what the goal is for this Visual Logic or for different "zones" in my Visual Logic.
I know you can already enter a description in the tab itself, but when you have one tab but where you are doing two different things in the tab, it could be useful to clearly identify what is happening where.
I know I could also separate the functions into different tabs, but when I have a lot of values that are used or influence the two "zones", it would be a waste of time adding the same values again on another tab.
By offering the possibility to add a comment onto the Visual Logic canvas, it could help other users to understand what is happening where and how the Visual Logic has been constructed.
Right now, I often use the Description field of an emty String Value to add general comments but those comments are often quite long and the Description field is only limited to the size of the logic block. It would be more useful to have an Comment-object (that puts text in a different color or in italic) that can be as long as the user wants.
I have added a example to show what I mean.
Thanks,
Kenneth
