Is it possible to lock a sequence item? So that it cannot be removed. The item must remain active.

In versions 9.0 and above there is a "lock layer" checkbox on the Take Item tab of the Take Inspector in the Sequencer. That will lock the take item online. 

You can use this along with the Take All and Take on Project Load settings for Groups in the Sequencer.

Thank you for your response. I know the setting, but I mean something else. I mean if you can lock a line, so that you cannot remove it from the sequence.
