  • 1.  Reordering text objects with a datalinq variable

    Posted 11-12-2020 19:45

We've recently had an election (2020 General), and the company we bought the RSS information access to has a screwy way of doing their information.  They initially test with Alphabetical Order, then on the day of the election they allow their system to reorder itself based on Vote Count. It makes no sense to me, but whatever.

My question is:  Is there a way to connect, let's say, Yes = 10,000 together no matter the change in the RSS XML breakdown?

YES being a static Text Object

    10,000 being a datalinqed-Visual Logiced-Specifically Formatted calculation.

There used to be a video on the Ross U, but I don't remember the title.  It absolutely answers this question and all I need is either the link to that video, or a breakdown of what I could do better.

    Thank you!

**UPDATE: PICTURE REFERENCE TO ABOVE REQUEST**

Something along the lines of utilizing this type of formula through Visual logic.

Couldn't you use the sort selector block?

    Garner,

I see what you're saying.  I've never used this before but I'll give it a try.  Do you know how to properly use this selector?  I'm a bit confused on what blocks go to what connection.
