Graphics

Has anyone ever used their Xpression as mini switcher? With the ability to take in live feeds I thought it might work. We may do a few shows from home and I was thinking with Dashboard we could switch between live inputs and add graphic layers. Anyone had success with this?

Ryan, if you can build a dashboard, if you have a carbonite or other Ross switcher, why not just use dashboard to cut your show and trigger any macros.  Then sure you could use the video input and throw up a virtual output and be watching a multi viewer or something like that.  It will tax the Xpression pretty greatly to have to be showing that live input, but it is possible. - I have only ever used the input to build it into a graphic, such as a picture in picture.  Rather than making the switcher do all the DVE moves, it was easier to build it in Xpression.
