Long story short, is this possible?

I've been trying this mostly on my designer edition (havent been in the arena for a while), but to me, the designer (v9.5:4989) doesnt seem to want me to set up a Preview output to the Desktop Preview if Tessera SE is enabled.

However, disable Tessera, and try it like a regult output, it works...
If I then turn on Tessera again, it "works" however, the previews are stretched to their 16:9 respective aspects, and the in the virtual output the output frame is suddenly in the shape of whatever that Tessera output was supposed to be, and the mapping for the tessera output scaled accordingly...

Am I simply asking too much from the software? Or what could be the issue here?

Well, it works... Kinda...

I was able to test at the arena, and while I could get the preview out into DashBoard, it doesnt quite work with the aspect when ti comes to the tessera regions.
Any output into Tessera that is not set to 16:9 aspect will be stretched either vertically or horizontally to "fit" into the preview in both Xpression and in the output into DashBoard as well.
I guess it "kinda" works, but I really wish it kept the correct aspect.

Anyone got a fix I dont know about, or any other suggestions?

This has been added as a feature to XPression 10.1 beta build 5257 - which should be part of the XPression 10.5 release in early 2021. 

Changes:

·  [fixed] the desktop preview server will now preview tessera scenes using the correct aspect ratio

Any word if this Will be patched into 9.5 version of Xpression as well?

Would love to have v10, but COVID and the year havent really given us the chance to have a running SLA sadly...
