aja ioxt not detected after upgrade to win 10

    Hi,

    I had Xpression Studio GO running on a ASUS ROG 175 JY on Windows 7. Xpression version was 5.9 and having AJA driver version 10.1 installed .  It works good without any problem.

    However, I recently got my laptop  upgrade to a new one with i9 processor and running in win 10
    So, after that,  Neither  Xpression Studio GO  nor the  laptop itself  detect the  AJA IO XT .

    So , if anyone can  help me with that..?

    Is the IOXT detected without issue in thunderbolt manager? What is the current AJA driver and XPression version you are using?

    My AJA driver version is 10.4.1 and Xpression version is 5.9

    Is the IOXT detected in Thunderbolt manager?

    Yes, thunderbolt manager is showing connected
    But AJA control panel said no device found.

    Hi Gabriel

    I have an AJA IO XT running on Windows 10 x64, but my AJA driver is v15.2. If I remember correctly I think I had the same issue as you until I went with a later driver version.  AJA are quite good at having previous driver versions available, as I'm not sure what version of driver XPression would work with.  So try this v15.2 and if it works with the AJA control panel, go backwards until XPression picks it up as well.

    Hi Derry,

    i just come back to office and check again, the IOXT is attached in  thunderbolt manager but the connection status is not connected. I think it is the problem.. so how can i fix it...

    I am having this same issue on a brand new Alienware 17R5 laptop running Windows 10. Did this ever get solved?

    Hi Wes,
    This is a known issue with the AJA IOXT and the latest Alienware laptops. There is a compatibility issue between an IC on the IOXT and the motherboard on the Alienware laptops.

    This issue will affect any IOXT with a serial number below XT009750.

    If you contact AJA support they can arrange an RMA of your IOXT and will swap the IC. This swap can only be performed by AJA manufacturing. When you contact AJA you can tell them you need a "LightRdige IC" swap for compatibility with newer computers.

    Garner, this unit has already had the IC upgrade via AJA. Still not working.

    Ross tech support has been working on it for a few weeks.
    We are currently on version 10.0 build 5269. I am not sure which AJA drivers they have tried, as far as I can tell it has been a few different versions.

    Solved! The IC upgrade performed by AJA over the summer was bad. They sent me a replacement unit and everything works fine now.
