Stagger animations always add or subtract from the parameters you design them at so it you make a stagger animation on say the X and Y scale of an object and make the starting keyframe -1 and end keyframe 0 the scale of each character will animate from 0 to 1 of the time you set in the stagger animation.
You'll need to delete the default track, right click and add 2 tracks, 1 for X scale and 1 for Y scale.
Here is a video on getting started on stagger animations
XPression U: Stagger Animations in XPression (Basics 134) Shadow.
If you can't get the shadow effect you want exactly right in XPression there is always the option of having a second text object in the style you want layered behind it, then simply use visual logic to link the text object to the other text object. Whatever you write in one will be copied to the other.

Subject: Reveal text from transparent/Block Shadow
Is there are way, using a Stagger Animation, to have text start small and gets bigger ending up at a pre-determined font height, i.e. zooming (growing transition) text from nothing?
Also can I can create a Block Shadow on text in 2D? I've tried adding an outline and a drop shadow but its no quite right the same…….using 3D doesn't really work when the text is not angled.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers...........Phil
