Hi, current setup has Allsport 5000 serial output > Lantronics Serial to Ethernet > Daktronics Network for scoring data. I would like to take a sniff of the daktronics serial data and present it to XPression via Datalinq. Can anyone help me out with any info regarding this?

    Hi Karl

We use something called ScoreBot from Sport Cast https://www.scorecasts.net/.  The only major issue we have had is the initial setup which needed in house IT to allow the ip address to talk to our truck. Make sure you have a manual version of your score in case as with every internet based item traffic is always a determining factor.  Also make sure your browser doesn't have 10 active pages as it has messed up things for us with Chrome once.

    Hope this helps.

    Brad

Do you have any current access to the serial data via an AllSport?  You can just pull the data via something like Teraterm to look at it.

I would start by setting up a Datalinq source to listen to the Allsport data on whatever UDP port it's being sent on.  Likely port 21000 or 21321 or similar.  Otherwise, I believe you can log into the Lantronics box and add IPs/Ports to send the data to.
