    Hey everyone.

I've been asked to find a grafical solution for a upcoming local sport event.
Prevously we've had outside freelancers doing this project. My job is to see how much work this would be to do inhouse.

We've got a #Carbonite mixer and with that followed a 'free' #XPression license.
I'm currently building demo grafics with XPression Designer.
My next step is to get the graphics from the computer to the video mixer. Can I use XPression Designer - Sequencer for this? Do the computer REQUIRE a Nvidia card?

Anyone that can point me in the right direction here? Please note that I am very new in the technical side of video production (mixers etc).

    Thanks!

XPression requires an Nvidia card to render correctly.

With XPression CG Live / Designer they have no video frame buffer, on the virtual preview so to get them into your vision mixer you will need to go to the item you'd like in sequence, right-click and do an export as, there you can choose image, image sequence or video. You can then save onto the image store of your carbonite and use it as a mix effect from there.

XPression Designer will work without a NVIDIA card, but it will be slower and you could have some issues with rendering certain types of graphics. You'll certainly need a PC with a good on-board graphics if you have a dedicated NVIDIA GPU.

You can also setup a RossLinq framebuffer to send still graphics directly from XPression Designer to the Carbonite Media Stores, without needing to export them as Simon describes.

XPression Designer > Edit > Hardware Setup > Inputs/Outputs > Add > RossLinq > Input Carbonite IP Address and Channel of Media Store

With the RossLinq framebuffer you can play stills directly into the Carbonite Media Stores. If you need help setting this up I would recommend contacting Ross Video Tech Support.
