Hey Nick,
That's exactly right. Like I said, not really applicable to what you were looking for specifically, but just thought it was something a feature similar enough that was worth mentioning.
As someone who had very little to basically no coding experience before, I learned a ton using Visual Logic and then looking at the ogscript/Javascript that it created, which has really dipped my toes into coding in general. With the little amount that I have done on the XPression/VB side of things, what I learned in Dashboard wasn't directly useful, but the core knowledge did help a lot.
That said, I still have a very long way to go!

Hi Mike,
I suppose that when you speak of Dashboard in this context you are referring to the Visual Logic interface within Dashboard.
I actually had not thought that would be helpful because I presumed it wrote it's scripts in ogscript which I don't know is applicable to Xpression (which is VB if I understand correctly), but perhaps I am mistaken.
Anyway thanks for the suggestion.
Cheers
Nick

While I've seen no way to see VL as script in XPression, as Red has said, you can do this on the Dashboard side of things which has helped me tremendously over time.
Probably not helpful for what you're looking for or what you're trying to do specifically, and also not one-to-one by any means, but thought it would be worth mentioning.

Actually, it isn't converted into a script so sadly there's no way to see your VL as script at this time that I am aware of.

Hi everybody,
Possibly a dumb question, but is there a way to see what Visual Logic looks like when presented as text?
I'm supposing that what we do in the VL interface is translated into a script in the background.
I feel it would be great leaning tool if we could access this result.
I've tried opening a .xvl file saved from VL in Note Pad++ but with no success.
Has anyone already followed this line of thinking?
Thanks
Nick
