Could anyone provide a rundown for how to integrate the CBS Stat Crew XML into your Xpression Project? I cannot find a way to match each player to their stats for quick retrieval. I would like one template that could quickly change based on an an individual players stats. Right now, I can manually link to each player, but only one at a time. When using datalinq keys to change players I get no results. reference video I looked at was: XPression U: XPression Crawls using Sequence Groups, DataLinq™, %Relid%, and Visual Logic (QT 178)

You will need to set up “Datalinq keys” based on team (H or V) and jersey number. I’m on a job but might be able to dig into an older project for the Univ of Utah and take a few frame grabs for you.

Here is a screen shot of my feed using Datalinq key to populate Total Points from a stat crew file.

The XML file from NLS IAU goes to a local shared drive for use in Xpression and Daktronics.  Before NLS, getting the XML file was quite painful as it was sent to Sidearm and I had a batch command that would run a software to search that FTP every so often and sync.

Thanks! I was able to figure it out with that information. Now I am going to try to find a way to tie the xml with to information that is not located in the xml. I got most of it accomplished using dynamic materials (Photos) and just renaming the files to match the datalinq keys. I think the for the rest (hometowns, etc) I will have to organize them in excel.

    Hello Tyler

Yes if you have an Excel list of your teams with links to the Picture Folder it will work great!  Just make sure the operator doesn't mess with the folder structure and then tell you 2 mins before the game!!

    Good Luck
