    Hey all,
    I'm hoping to create a functioning "full screen" and "lock screen" button. Does anyone already have the code to apply to these guys?

    Thanks,
    Jerod

    I was able to figure out the "lock Screen" but if someone could help out with the "Full Screen" function that would be awesome. I just need Dashboard to go in and out of full screen when that button is pressed.

    There are built-in special tags to lock all of DashBoard and to toggle fullscreen mode:

    <abs contexttype="opengear">
       <simplegrid height="259" left="17" rows="1" top="13" width="673">
          <lock name="Lock DashBoard"/>
          <fullscreen name="Full Screen Toggle"/>
       </simplegrid>
    </abs>

    Enjoy!

    Following up on this question...is there a way to force dashboard to fullscreen mode on startup? In my case, I want to run a client version of my custom panel and make it as difficult as possible for the user to access Panelbuilder edit mode or any other menu items.

    Thanks!

    There are 3 ways to achieve this:
    If you shutdown Dashboard in fullscreen-mode, it will start up again that way.

    You can also save it as part of a layout and tell DashBoard to restore that layout on startup by adding -layout LAYOUTNAME to your shortcut (make sure you tell uncheck "Maintain current state" in the layouts view).

    Finally, as of DashBoard 8.3.1, you can also add -fullscreen true to your DashBoard shortcut to launch DashBoard in fullscreen mode.

    Also, you can password protect going into edit mode on a custom panel so that when the user hits the buttons to go into edit mode they get a password prompt.

    Just add
    editlock="xxx" where xxx is your password to the top level abs for this.
