  • 1.  DB showing "Max Connection Exceeded" to the new added OG3 Frame

I have added a new frame to the network, but the Dashboard shows me "Max connections exceeded", see the attached photo below. I am using Dashboard v7.0.

I found the following description in the Dashboard user guide.

Orange "” This color indicates that the MFC-8300 Network Controller Card for that frame can only support a limited number of connections and that maximum has been reached. You can select the Force Connect option, after right-clicking on the frame status indicator, to establish a connection between the frame and your DashBoard workstation. However, doing so will disconnect another connection to the same MFC-8300 Network Controller card.

    1. What is the max number of the connections for Dashboard?

    2. From the attached photo, there is not too much equipment connecting and monitoring by Dashboard. If the system keep expending, what is the solution?

If your network controller card ends in "-C", the card will only support a single connection to DashBoard at a time.

If the connection is already occupied and you need to access the frame from DashBoard, the solution is to use the "Force Connection" option to disconnect the current user so you can make use of it.

Once connected, DashBoard should not disconnect until/unless the connection is forced by someone else.
