Using the RossTalk command: XPT bus:source,

Is it possible to select the MiniME bus? The only options I see are:

    • AUX:aux bus number

    • MLE:MLE number : PGM

    • MLE:MLE number : PST

    • MLE:MLE number : KEY:keyer number

    Hi Shane,

The following link has a pdf listing the commands for Rosstalk:

    http://www.rossvideo.com/pdf/cutsheets/vision-interface/cg/RossTalk-Commands(4802DR-403-06).pdf

In it, it shows that you can use 'MME' to address the MiniMe areas.

If you have any issues getting that to work let us know.

    Troy.

    Awesome!! Thanks, that is perfect.

I was looking at a different PDF

    http://www.rossvideo.com/pdf/cutsheets/carbonite-interface/RossTalk-Commands(4802DR-403-04).pdf

(Kinda confusing what PDF to look at. Is there an index of the most recent PDF documentations? I"ve had a hard time finding the right documents on this site.)

The best we have right now is the search feature in the upper right of the website.

I'm glad the document gave you what you needed.

I need a little more help on this. The PDF you provided has different commands than the PDF I was using.

    for example: MLEAUTO vs MEAUTO

On the dashbaord, my RossTalk application has MLEAUTO, not MEAUTO. And, the commands as listed in your PDF do not work for me.

Is this because of a different version of the Dashboard, or a different firmware of the Carbonite frame?

I am running Dashboard ver 6.2.5

    Carbonite Frame ver 9.1.0.11223

    Hi Shane,

Carbonite will accept either MEAUTO or MLEAUTO, they will do the same thing. There is a newer version of Carbonite available (10.1.0), although these functions should work fine in the version you have. When creating the RossTalk task in Dashboard I suggest you choose "Custom" and then type the entire command in. For example:

    MLEAUTO MLE:1

That should run an autotrans action on ME 1. Let me know if that works for you.

    >>MLEAUTO MLE:1

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, but my question is for applying the command to the mME bus.... Anyway, after calling Ross Support and working through through this, I discovered that both PDF's (above) are incomplete.

    This works for ME1 BUS:

    XPT ME:1:PST:IN:1

    MEAUTO ME:1

    This works for MME1 BUS:

    XPT MME:1:PST:IN:1

    MEAUTO MME:1

Poor & confusing documentation. Neither document defines MEAUTO MME:1, one has the MLEAUTO command, the other MEAUTIO command, and MME:1 does not work with MLEAUTIO and MME:1 is not defined as an option for the MEAUTO command..

I'd love it if you could remove the older documents and replace with a current & more complete revision. With different revsions floating around, It's frustrating when you can't find the most recent and get the commands to work.

Thanks for the feedback on the documentation Shane,

It has been passed along to the Switcher team.
