We just updated to 8.3.1 because we have a small window to see if it works with out old layouts.
First: What is the small Red box in the tab at the top?
Second: I can not access our video Server BlackStorm. I dont even see it in the left hand side

Sorry you're having a few issues - let's see if we can get you sorted out:

The red dot is where the editor icon would normally go. The icons are unpacked from DashBoard on first launch and the directory structure will change between DashBoard versions so, the path to the icon that was saved in the original layout may not point to the icon in the new version. Any new editors you open will show the proper icon instead of the red dot.

When you updated from your previous version to a new DashBoard, you should have been given an option to restore your previous Black Storm plug-in (provided that you installed to the same directory). If not, you'll want to add your BlackStorm back into the DashBoard tree (new manual connection, enter the BVS's IP address,select 'detect settings', select 'finish'), double-click on the green question mark that is part of the BVS's node and use the dialog box that opens to re-install the plug-in. Once the plug-in is installed, the BVS nodes will stay in your tree and your layout will come back to life.
