I assume transitions can only be made from PV to PGM? Is there any way of transitioning (fading) between sources to an output? For example - I have CLN on Output 5. I would like to change that from CLN to Camera 1 (Input 1) but preferrably have it fade instead of cut. And then fade back to CLN

That will depend upon which switcher you are using, I'm assuming it is a Carbonite?

You have several video feeds that can be fed to an output that can do a fade/dissolve.

As you know, the program feeds from an ME can all do this.

However we designed Mini MEs for exactly the purpose you describe, they allow you to do dissolves and some keying on an output without having to use up your regular MEs.

Depending upon your production you may find that you are not using them all currently and that would be the first place I would suggest you look.

For exact details on configuring / using them I would recommend posting questions in the Switcher forums. (as well as checking them out in the documentation of course).

Yes, you'll have to use a ME or MiniME to acheive that functionality. I recommend using a MiniME if you have one available.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Yes it is a Carbonite and we do have mini ME's available for this. I will start the discovery process on how to do this :-) Still very new at the whole thing, but making progress.
