I am running DashBoard on a Lenovo Touchscreen PC with Windows 8.

Everything works as expected when using the mouse.

However the touchscreen requires two touches per button to press it. The first touch selects/highlights the button like hovering the mouse pointer over it. The second touch presses it like clicking it with the mouse.

It really gets messy with a third touch to another button to select it that often also clicks the previous button.

This make running Custom Controls from the touchscreen very unpredictable

Has anyone experienced this type of response from their touchscreen hardware?

Is it just a problem with my the Lenovo touchscreen hardware/Windows 8 drivers?

What touchscreen hardware do you guys at Ross use?

If someone can recommend a touchscreen PC that works better I would appreciate it.

    Hi Paul.

I can tell you that we haven't experienced that behaviour with DashBoard and other touch screens.

As part of our testing, we used DashBoard 6.0 with a Windows 8 Surface Pro tablet and the touches worked every time.

I have also (just now) verified that things are working properly on a Windows 8 Lenovo Laptop (non-touch) hooked-up to an external ELO touch screen. DashBoard has also been tested with Windows 7 and ELO touch screens. Unfortunately, I don't have any other touch-enabled laptops/tablets readily available.

What version of DashBoard are you running (most importantly, what is the build date/time information displayed in the Help->About DashBoard window)?

    Hey James

I've been able to sort out my touch screen issues but now I have another problem.

DashBoard 6.0 will send RossTalk commands to my Vision 4 Panel like FTB just fine.

However, I can't get the Custom Control command to work. I'm using the CC [Bcc]. So CC 101 should be bank 1 Custom Control 1 but nothing happens.

    Any ideas.

    thanks

    Paul
