  • 1.  Adding Carbonite controls to the dashboard

    Hello all!

So I have been trying to connect my Carbonite to the dashboard on the blackstorm. First, I am able to hit the IP address in the web browser and use the media manger so i know that im able to hit the IP address. but once i open up the dashboard and go to File>new i only have the option for "new connection" with the green plus. the manual say to go to TCP/IP OpenGear Frame which is not an option

So i've tried to add the IP address of the Carbonite through the "new connection" and when i do this i get an error message telling me to make sure the carbonite is updated to v5.0+ and it is curently at v8 something.

Why is it that i do not have the option to add TCP/IP OpenGear frame?

    Thanks in advance!

If you don't have the "Add TCP/IP openGear Frame" option, it is likely that you do not have the openGear plug-in installed in DashBoard (or something is wrong with it).

The easiest solution is to simply re-install DashBoard.

    A few quick notes:

If you are running on Windows, then you can feel free to download/install the latest version of DashBoard and it should remain compatible with your BlackStorm plug-in. If you are running Mac OSX, you may need to update your BlackStorm Server software to be compatible with the latest DashBoard.
