My oGx open gear frame is showing an IP address of 0.0.0.0, how can I change this to an IP address of something like 192.168.1.144?

I found the answer, you change it by using the dip switches on the MFC-OG3-N card or the Dashboard Network tab.

I assume you're talking about on the front display of the frame and not in DashBoard itself?

Hi there,

The OGX controller comes from the factory setup to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server, if a DHCP server is not available the it might not resolve an IP address. Two ways to address the problem :

1) Connect to a network with a DHCP server
2) There is a switch at the front of the controller allowing the controller to be set to a known static ip address.

Somewhat similar issue, my OGX frame just arrived with an IP showing on the lcd screen of 169.254.224.135, the rest of my Ross gear (as shipped) is in the range of 192.168.0.xxx. I am running Dashboard on the built in OS on my Graphite machine. Dashboard can currently see the Control Panel, Graphite... but not the OGX frame. How can I reset the IP of the OGX frame to be in the same range as the rest of the static IPs on the closed network? It seems like using the dip switches will still not put it in the same range as the rest of the gear, and I can't use Dashboard to change it... Thanks!

Hi there, 

              You can use the dip switches at the front of the card to reset the controller to a known static IP address and connect a laptop directly to the chassis to properly configure your frame network setting to meet your facility needs.
