This one is 5 years old I see, but I'll still chime in on this one...
- I've used the LTC-MIDI reader/converter here for this purpose:
https://www.videotoolshed.com/handcrafted-timecode-tools/ltc-midi-readerconverter/
Can be set up to read timecode LTC on audio input, and then forward that timecode as a UDP over network. Tried and tested.
- I was just wondering, is there a better solution for this today? Do we have any other way to actually get the timecode into DashBoard other than a network listener?
- If the listener is still the only option, what is the best way to add this listener without interfering with the main exec in a DashBoard?

Hi Sebastien.
DashBoard only takes input via TCP/IP or UDP. If you have a device that can serve you timecode information that way, it should be possible to bring it into a Custom Panel via a tag.
