  • 1.  Cant connect Dashboard to Carbonite

    I am trying to connect dashboard to carbonite switcher and I keep getting "Error Detecting device attributes" I have double checked settings and switcher IP address. My ftp program can connect to the switcher just fine. what am i doing wrong, am Do I not have the right equipment?

    Hi Brandan.

    Not all versions of Carbonite software implement the "detect attributes" feature in DashBoard.

    To add a Carbonite running older releases:

    • use the File->New->TCP/IP DashBoard Connect /openGear Device (that's what it is called in DashBoard 7. In older versions it would just say "TCP/IP openGear Frame").
    • Enter the IP address, a name, and leave the port set to 5253
    • Select "Finish"
