So I have gone in and created this custom dashboard for one of our producers to use. I simply used buttons from the Carbonite Live Assist and changed their labels and colors based on what is active or not. The only thing I want to do now is display what source is in that key's fill channel. I tried moving the button from the live assist window over, but when I do it is blank. 

Ideally it would be nice to put a button under each key that displays the key fill source, and when pressed, allows you to change the source. Ideally the same behavior you see in the Live Assist panel. Otherwise, a simple label of what the source is would be great.

I would recommend dragging the key source from the Live Assist "Buses" tab and changing the widget hint from "toggle buttons" to "label. It sounds like you may have already been going down this path so let me add some screen grabs to clear-up any issues you may have encountered.

When you drop it in, it will give you this prompt:

When you hit "Ok" it will look a little odd (possibly what you saw as "blank"). What you're actually seeing is the list of all possible sources being shown in a very small space:

If you go into the source editor by double-clicking on the dropped control, you can change the widget from "toggle buttons" to "label" and get the display you wanted:

Once you have created the label, you can make a copy for each key rather than repeat these steps. You would just need to change the "OID" field of the <param/> tag with the correct one for each key's source (you can find these out with the "Param Inspector" tool).
