Hi Paul.
It looks like you may have dragged-over a little too much for your Custom Panel.
One way to guarantee that you only have he parameter(s) you want is to use the Parameter Inspector to get the ID of a parameter and add it to your panel manually. The inspector can be activated with CTRL+i and double-clicking on the desired parameter.

We can see from this that the desired parameter is 0xE0C - let's add the Carbonite to our CustomPanel and then use that parameter:
In your CustomPanel, double-click on the background while in Edit Mode to bring-up the source editor. Select the "Device" button at the top of the editor, give the new <context/> tag an ID, and select your Carbonite as the data source for the context:

Now, select "Apply and Close" to return to edit mode.
In the toolbar, select a container for where we want the buttons to go - I recommend either Simple Grid (<simplegrid/>) or Wrap Content (<flow/>) and draw where you want it to appear on your panel.

Now, we can use the Parameter Insert Tool to add the parameter E0C to the panel:

This will give you the most control over what is added to your custom panel. If you are very careful with what you drag from the Carbonite UI, you can also simply select the button instead of the entire page or tab and you will grab only the parameter you want.
Happy building!
James
