    Hello all!

I was wondering if anyone had set up their digital switcher through dashboard to work with a PC keyboard.  What with quarantines of citizens happening globally, my station is trying to prepare in case it hits our community.  I have access to my dashboard and to the carbonite switcher settings, but I would prefer to control the digital switcher with either a keyboard or whatever touch screen monitor you folks recommend.

Clicking around with a mouse leaves a bit more room for error and I just want to make sure that I'm prepared.

    Thank you!

    Hi Miranda

There would be a potential path to this via Custom Panels depending on what you are trying to do. If you wanted to create buttons to perform any actions you want in the custom panel, you can use the "GPI Trigger" and keyboard mapping feature to e able to press those buttons with the shortcut of your choice.

If you do a search in the DashBoard user guide for "Keyboard" you will find the "Keyboard shortcuts" and "Triggering Tasks Externally" topics helpful for this.

In terms of touch screen support, depending on your model and software version of switcher, you may also have access to a virtual panel which you could control via a touch screen. If you are uncertain of how to access this or have any questions about its capabilities, I'd strongly-recommend a post on their forum page for fast support.

    Cheers

    James
