The DashBoard team has identified an issue with the latest Mac OS, Big Sur, where any version of DashBoard will not launch. We have a workaround, but our advice right now is to hold off on upgrading to Big Sur if you can. It seems that other vendors are having similar issues with the new OS as well. The DashBoard team will be looking into a fix, but currently we do not have a timeline for the release.
Current Workaround
DashBoard can still be launched on Big Sur by navigating into the Contents of the DashBoard.app. A default install location for DashBoard can be launched from the terminal with the following command:
open /Applications/DashBoard/DashBoard.app/Contents/MacOS/PermissionDashBoard
You can also dive into the contents from inside Finder by right mouse clicking on the DashBoard.app and selecting “Show Package Contents”. From here, navigate into the Contents folder, then into the MacOS folder, and finally run PermissionDashBoard.
