Hi BJ
The issues referenced by Ben related to MacOS Big Sur and later were resolved with the release of DashBoard 9.4. If you are experiencing a DashBoard hang in Monterey, this would be considered a new issue and will need to be investigated.
One thing you may want to try to get into a working state is to clear your 'workspace' or at least clear the set of open tabs in case something in there is causing your hang.
I would suggest backing-up (for debugging purposes) and removing the file /Library/Application Support/openGear/DashBoard/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.ui.workbench/workbench.xml
Hopefully this helps or at least provides a little more information about what you are seeing.
Cheers
James

What's the word on Monterey support? Dashboard 9.4.1 will open but just hangs on open.

We believe we have a fix for this issue. It will be coming soon.

Any update if this work around is still needed for Big Sur or Monterey?

I noticed this is still a problem in 9.2.2 on Big Sur. Do we know if this is an issue with Monterey as well? Is there a planned fix for Dashboard yet?

The DashBoard team has identified an issue with the latest Mac OS, Big Sur, where any version of DashBoard will not launch. We have a workaround, but our advice right now is to hold off on upgrading to Big Sur if you can. It seems that other vendors are having similar issues with the new OS as well. The DashBoard team will be looking into a fix, but currently we do not have a timeline for the release.
Current Workaround
DashBoard can still be launched on Big Sur by navigating into the Contents of the DashBoard.app. A default install location for DashBoard can be launched from the terminal with the following command:
open /Applications/DashBoard/DashBoard.app/Contents/MacOS/PermissionDashBoard
You can also dive into the contents from inside Finder by right mouse clicking on the DashBoard.app and selecting "Show Package Contents". From here, navigate into the Contents folder, then into the MacOS folder, and finally run PermissionDashBoard.
