  • 1.  IP address & port of switcher

    a colleague of mine created a dashboard panel for me & created fields in the panel where I can enter my vision switcher's IP & port number... I found the IP but I am not certain of the port. can I find it on the touch panel of the vision switcher? if not, what is a way to find it? thank you!

    If you know the IP address you could try using nmap (https://nmap.org/) to scan for open ports.

    thanks! I'll give this a try... I forgot to mention in my original post that my other dashboard panels are working (the buttons I made for CCs are working fine) but I created them on that computer

    You'll need to open a port on the Vision switcher in the Communication Settings. You'll want to use RossTalk IN or RTalkIN (forget how it is labeled) usually 778 is used as the default.

    thanks! I forgot to mention in my original post that my other dashboard panels are working (the buttons I made for CCs are working fine) but I created them on our local computer whereas this new panel from my colleague was created on their computer running dashboard

    Correction to Marks port suggestion. The default RossTalk port is 7788. Hope that gets you on the right track
