  • 1.  TGA sequences and NO audio playing back on Blackstorm

I have TGA sequences that I was using on the media player in Carbonite, everything worked fine, keyed and ran audio.

I transferred the files, including the audio (wav) file associated to the sequence to the blackstorm.

The problem is the (wav) file is separate from the tga files and I can not get it to play when I play the tga sequence.

The blackstorm is a 2 channel box -- is this the reason why it is not working?

    Hi Gordon,

The BVS does not "link" the files. You would be best to use After Effects to turn the Files and Audio into a Animation Codec MOV to play back on the BVS.

    Les,

Since I do not have After Effects available, and it seems like this is what I need to get, in order to solve this and "trim point" issue I posted about.

    I pose the following:

Can I play the TGA sequence in a playlist and at the same time play the (wav) file in the same playlist OR possible just play the (wav) as a clip from the blackstorm as playing the TGA sequence in a playlist, thus linking the video and audio together?

I guess another "work around" would be to play the TGA from the Blackstorm server and the associated audio file using the media player(s) in the Carbonite.

    Hi Gordon,

Sorry for the delay I am in Taipei now and was travelling during that post -- lost track of it when I was catching up.

I think the issue is that you can't play the Vide/Alpha and Audio at the same time since it is a "3 channel" item since the audio does not associate with the video. I would look into Motion from Apple or AE from Adobe. those really are the perfect tools for our work world:). Also if you are MAC based you could look at one of those low cost 145 dollar isn BMD Thunderbolt Capture Devices. Would make it pretty easy to capture the content direct to your laptop for editing and they are about the size of a couple of USB drives.
