  • 1.  Avid MC6.5 Export Settings to Blackstorm

I have a new BlackStorm running in 1080i 59.94 and the BlackStorm is not recognizing any of the media imported using the Media Manager inside of Dashboard. I am importing the media to the D: Drive and Media Folder. If you go to the Windows OS level the media is there however Dashboard does not see it. I have tried the Animation and DVCPRO50 settings multiple ways in Media Composer. No Luck. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Hi Albert,

Can you try using an FTP client and FTP'ing the clips directly to the BlackStorm's media folder? Also try stopping and starting the BlackStorm service (the green BlackStorm icon in the system tray).

So I found one of my problems was the audio was exporting as 44.1 and Blackstorm will only accept 48 khz. Then I got the video to work by using the Animation Codec, Millions of Colors, and Keyframes set to "every." The files are quite large.

Still no luck on the DVCPRO50 HD Codec. Even if I export it as 1920 X 1080 the Blackstorm sees it as an SD clip.

On the ISIS I created a Workspace called "Blackstorm Export" and then mounted this Workspace on the Blackstorm using the ISIS Client Manager. This seems to be working pretty well.

Albert- are you running the isis on a switch or is it direct connect from edit station to isis?

    Hi Scott,

It is on a switch with 6 other Mac Pro Desktop stations. Seems to be working fine.
