Hello Bob,
It is not possible to run two instances of the Tria Import Client at the same time. However, I believe we can achieve the functionality you're looking for using the "watch folder" feature of the importer.
Open Tria Import, and click on the "File" menu. Then choose "watch folders..." From here, you will be able to add a shared network location as a watch folder. You can set up multiple watch folders, each watching a separate shared network location (source) and importing to its own folder on the media storage of the Tria (destination).
So the workflow would be: Set up a series of shared network folders for your editor and producer to drop files into. Then, set those shared folders as watch folders (i recommend mounting the shared folders as mapped network drives first). Your editor and producer can now drop files into those shared folders from anywhere on the network, and when they do, the Tria Import client will automatically begin to import those files. Meanwhile, your playout op can have control of adding clips to the import queue manually while the watch folders place files into the queue automatically. He or she simply clicks the green "+" icon in the Tria Import interface, and then navigates to the files that need to be imported.
