  • 1.  Frame Sync settings not remembered between reboots with version 8

    I upgraded our Carbonite 2M to version 8 the other day. We have one source that doesn't take genlock, so I need to use a frame sync on it. Unfortunately, since upgrading, each time we power the mixer on the frame sync is not applied and I have to reapply it. I'm not using MiniMEs, so all my frame syncs are available. Is there something I can do about it other than getting an external frame sync (which I'll need to do if I want to use the MiniMEs)?

    I've downloaded v8 but won't do the upgrade until after Tuesday's show. Something James said caught my eye regarding FSFC and MiniME. Does the MiniME eat up a FSFC resource somehow?

    Yes, it does eat them up. It's bundled with the 8 DVE mode.

    Now I see. Real glad I bought a Plus frame so I had the 16 FSFC and 8 DVE. Hopefully the 4 MME's will just be in addition.. Btw, I've had great success with the Grass Valley G1's as external frame sync's

    This makes me nervous about updating to v8. We rely on frame sync and I'd hate to have to reset it after every restart.
