Hi Great to see the new IP ranges for the switchers, I was wondering do you have a paper on your IP method, does it use destination timing?

    Hi James,

The units have built in Frame Syncs so that they are able to time to the system. This is all based on the Raptor Technology and how it works.

The other option in Acuity series is the Evertz IP Blades when using an Evertz Router and those follow the Evertz IP topology.

Do the frame syncs work with PTP timing?

Yes -- Raptor uses the PTP Timing and can then provide an Analog Reference as well out of it that is generated fro the PTP.

Is any extra delay added by the IP interface?

Yes -- your going to either have small delay in lines for the decapsulation or you will set it to a frame of delay so that you sync it to the other devices that may not be IP. However that sync is in the IP card so you don't waste "frame Syncs" inside the switcher.
